This still has a beautiful 3" diameter reflux column with four 2" sight glasses, Dephlegmator on top of the column and a liebig condenser. The column can be ran in Pot Still Mode to make Whiskey and Moonshine or it can be ran in Reflux Mode to make Vodka and E-85 Ethanol. The boiler has (2) 2" element port with tri clamp and cover plate. The port can be used to install an electric element with controller. You can also fire this still with a propane burner if you would like. the bottom of the boiler is flat and recessed, it stands at 28" tall and has a base diameter of 19 3/4".

Killer Deal!!

The boiler came boxed up in a plywood crate. Seriously, who does that? I the stainless is thick, heavy duty, industrial grade steel. It transmits heat well, holds hear, and it's extremely easy to clean. If you are in the fence, take the plunge. You won't regret your decision!

quality metal

I have not run a mash yet, but I did do a vinegar run to clean it. I then disassembled and wash each part and reassembled. So far I believe the quality is better than average, the metal is heavy gauge not like the cheap stainless mash kettle I purchases from Walmart. I'm curious how the output will be on the 3inch column vs my little 5 gallon copper still with a 1.5" column. I am also excited that i can upgrade to a 4 inch column if and when I want to. The still is very tall so you will need a low propane burner, or use electric and leave the kettle on the ground. I had to upgrade to a 200,000 btu propane burner because the pot was to big around for my 50k btu turkey fryer burner. I do wish it had a temp gauge on the pot and not just the column head. I like to hobby around the barn while I wait for the pot to approach temp, then monitor once it breaks 150 degrees, can't do that with just a column temp gauge.

Just received my still

I cant believe how well made and sturdy this still is. Everything fits together nicely with gaskets between all the fittings. When they said that you can pass this still down to your children, it is made well enough to do just that. BTW, my still came slightly damaged in shipping, Affordable Still gave me a slight refund for the damage and I even purchased additional supplies from them. All parts came within 10 days or so as promised. I cant wait to fire it up this weekend. Paul and his staff were courteous and very helpful, I will definitely use their services again!!
